My career started in the banking industry. As Vice President focusing on commercial lending, I gained valuable experience and knowledge working with business owners and key decision makers in identifying and solving a variety of issues facing small business. It was a logical progression to move to the accounting field and work with these same people to be more proactive in dealing with the same issues.
I never considered the work I did a job. I truly enjoyed going to the office each day. Over the years, I met thousands of people who were living the American Dream and I considered it an honor to be part of it with them.
Education is a Never Ending Process
When I started in the accounting field, most accounting was done with hand written processes starting with the hand written check. Keeping up with the rapidly changing technology in this field as well as staying on top of tax law is a daunting task.
